Christian Davies

Christian Davies is a globally recognized expert in soil carbon bioscience and serves as Principal Scientist in Environmental Biotechnology at Shell. He has spent nearly 18 years at Shell, following the completion of his PhD at the University of Edinburgh and postdoctoral research at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Georgia. Christian pioneers innovative approaches in advanced carbon and greenhouse gas measurement technologies to enhance soil carbon storage and support climate resilience. He is a recipient of the O’Donnell Award from the Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology (TAMEST), recognizing outstanding scientific achievement. As a member of the BCarbon Board, he brings deep scientific expertise to the advancement of rigorous standards for soil carbon markets.
