Pankaj Tanwar
Pankaj is Managing Director of Climate Services at CarbonBetter. He supports clients across their sustainability journey, including developing sustainability and ESG strategies, quantifying and disclosing environmental impacts, creating decarbonization roadmaps and supporting emissions reductions including via energy transition technologies and carbon offsets.
Prior to CarbonBetter, Pankaj spent 7 years at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Partner, leading Fortune 100 companies in developing energy transition and sustainability strategies. Additionally, Pankaj also has industry experience across Foodservice distribution having led sustainability driven growth at Sysco Foods and the Energy sector with 6 years at Schlumberger across China and Brazil.
Pankaj holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

David Baumann
David brings over 15 years of expertise in forestry, data analysis, and voluntary carbon market project certification. He has led teams developing cutting-edge carbon quantification methodology development, navigating complex certification processes with registries and verifiers, and supporting our project implementers to align with market standards. These efforts empower smallholder farmers across the globe to access carbon finance through impactful reforestation projects. Currently he is the Senior Lead for Carbon at Pur Project.

Madison Romo
Madison is the Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement at BCarbon. She earned her Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and has worked across government, international policy, and climate-focused organizations, including the U.S. Senate, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Rome. Madison is passionate about advancing climate solutions through public engagement, policy, and cross-sector collaboration. She has also served as a City Lead for the Houston chapter of Women and Climate.
