BCarbon has published a summary of comments and questions received during the Fall 2025 Public Consultation for its Methane Emissions Elimination through Well Plugging (MEEWP) Protocol, Version 2.1, which is now finalized. The consultation process gathered feedback from a range of stakeholders and supported the continued refinement of the protocol.

Version 2.1 implements changes that advance BCarbon’s alignment with international standards for high-integrity climate mitigation. Adjustments to the final protocol reflect input received during the public consultation, reinforcing BCarbon’s commitment to transparency, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
